Am Samstag, dem 12. November abends fand in Riem die Veranstaltung zum Volkstrauertag statt, am Morgen des 13. dann in Kirchtrudering. Bei erstaunlich großer Beteiligung 13 örtlicher Vereine und der Tiroler Kaiserjäger mit allen ihren Fahnen wurden am Kriegerdenkmal Kränze der Stadt München und der Vereine niedergelegt.
In den Ansprachen des Stadtpfarrers Herbert Kellermann, des Stadtrates Dr. Georg Kronawitter und unseres Vorstandes Hermann Weber wurde der militärischen und zivilen Opfer der Kriege und des Terrorismus in Vergangenheit und Gegenwart gedacht. Abgeschlossen wurde die Feier wie gewohnt bei einem Imbiss im Pfarrsaal.
